Professor Du Wencai, Dean of the Institute of Data Science of our university, was invited to attend the summit and delivered a keynote speech. 

 

In his speech at the summit, Professor Du Wencai put forward the basic view of "using wisdom + to drive industrial upgrading (Industry 4.0) and industrial innovation", and said that the flow of technology, capital and talent should be driven through the flow of wisdom including data, information and other elements. Professor Du pointed out that at the current stage, the Greater Bay Area, especially Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao, has favorable conditions to form the flow and aggregation of innovative elements in the planning policy framework of the Greater Bay Area. The fusion of the ABC smart technology cluster composed of artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing will form the main driving force for promoting provincial and smart industries and service industries. At the same time, Professor Du believes that the three industries of smart manufacturing, smart finance and smart retail have greater opportunities for acceleration and are also the industry's most likely to take the lead in breaking through the field of industrial intelligence. Finally, Professor Du concluded that developing intelligence will drive industrial upgrading and industrial innovation will bring certain opportunities and challenges.
