Teachers and students of the Faculty of Data Science won awards at Huawei’s 6th Global ICT Competition - Macau Station



Huawei's 6th Global ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Competition - Macau, co-organized by Huawei Macau, the Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, and the Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, was successfully completed recently. A student team composed of Yuxin Jin, Chenxiao Ma and Yunzhi Liu from the Faculty of Data Science of City University of Macau won the third prize in the online track of the event under the guidance of Assistant Professor Zuobin Ying.

 

The "Huawei ICT Competition" is an annual ICT competition created by Huawei for college students around the world. It aims to provide an international competition and exchange platform for college students to increase their ICT knowledge and enhance practical and application skills and innovation awareness. This Macau regional competition attracted a total of 475 registrations from five universities. In the end, 72 people entered the finals, including 15 students from City University of Macau. The competition is divided into cloud track and network track. After multiple assessments, the third prize in the network track was finally won by a student team from the Faculty of Data Science of City University of Macau. The team mentor, Assistant Professor Ying Zuobin, won the Outstanding Mentor Award. 

 

The winning students thanked the organizers for providing them with a platform to showcase themselves and were also very grateful to Huawei representatives and City University of Macau teachers for their continued care and support. They said they would continue to work hard to achieve greater success in the future.
