An overseas study exchange group for college students from Jiangsu Province, organized by City University of Macau in cooperation with Jiangsu Provincial Education International Exchange Service Center, recently visited City University of Macau. This time, a total of about fifty college students from different colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province were organized to participate in the seminar hosted by the Faculty of Data Science. The two topics "UCLA Artificial Intelligence" and "UCLA Data Science"
The exchange learning activity held an opening ceremony at the Macau Science Center on 14/02/2022. Director Zhen He expressed a warm welcome to the students in her speech and shared with them practical knowledge during their study and life in Macau, including traffic rules, epidemic prevention guidelines, local customs, etc. We hope that students will have a fulfilling and enjoyable exchange and study life in Macau.
President Jun Liu introduced the development history, school-running characteristics and achievements of City University of Macau, interacted with the students, and gave a speech titled "How College Students Can Be Successful", sharing experiences and advice on success. President Jun Liu said that to succeed, college students must first have ambition, courage, perseverance, and enthusiasm. They must dare to try, be fearless of difficulties and pursue persistent pursuits, and always be passionate about life, study, and work; cultivate their own curiosity, and be diligent and diligent. Xiangqin Guo, the project supervisor of the Jiangsu delegation, said in his speech that this exchange and study is not easy. The course lasted four days. The students studied in the classroom in the morning. They were taught by Assistant Professor Wenjian Liu, Coordinator of Graduate Programme of the Faculty of Data Science, Assistant Professor Chia-Wei Chu, Coordinator of Undergraduate Programme, Assistant Professor Weng Tak Kuok and Assistant Professor Zuobin Ying.
In the afternoons of the three days, we arranged to visit the Macao Museum, the Macau Science Center and the Macau Communications Museum to learn about the current development of Macau's society, culture, science and technology and other fields.
The students all said that this exchange and learning trip left them with many precious memories and benefited them a lot.

During my time studying at City University of Macau, I met many knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers. At the opening ceremony, the teachers’ care and welcome to us made everyone feel warm. In the class at the Science and Technology Museum, Vice President Wanlei Zhou took us to understand the development direction of artificial intelligence and security technology, which gave us a clearer plan for our future career development. The lecture given by Assistant Professor Wenjian Liu of the Faculty of Data Science on the second day impressed me the most. He provided us with the methods and steps of machine learning and deep learning and clearly showed us the learning methods in the form of mind maps, which will have great influence on our future. Learning is very helpful. In addition, Assistant Professor Weng Tak Kuok of the Faculty of Data Science gave us a lecture on image processing, which enabled me to further master the application of Python.
During the tour in Macau, the teachers will tell us about the history and interesting places of Macau along the way, allowing us to truly feel the profound cultural heritage of Macau. During the few days in Macau, I also made many friends. We visited many tourist attractions in Macau and spent an unforgettable learning time.
