2024 Cross Strait Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference (CSRSWTC 2024) had its grand opening on 5 November 2024 at the Ballroom of Wynn Palace in Macau. The conference was jointly organised by the City University of Macau, South China University of Technology and Anhui University of Technology, with the support of Wynn Macau. Held from 4 to 7 November, the conference gathered more than 170 experts and scholars in the field of wireless science and technology from the Cross Strait area and around the world to explore and exchange the latest research results and development trends. 。
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Qingxin Chu of South China University of Technology, as the Chairman of the Steering Committee, introduced the history of the conference. Since 1998, the Cross Strait Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference has been held regularly in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and it has become an extraordinary platform for exchanging ideas in the field of radio science and wireless communications; Vice President Wanlei Zhu of City University of Macau, as the Chairman of the conference, delivered a welcoming speech, stressing the importance of the conference to be organised by CityU and the importance of the conference to the community. Professor Liu Wenjian, Chairman of the Conference from City University of Macau, introduced the preparations and programme of the Conference at the Opening Ceremony and expressed his gratitude to all the organisations and individuals who have supported and participated in the Conference; Professor Chen Fuchang Chairman of the Conference from South China University of Technology, and Professor Sun Xin, Chairman of the Technical Programming Committee of the City University of Macau, also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of wireless science and technology and looked forward to promoting innovations in this field through this Conference. The conference is expected to promote the innovation and development of this field.
During the conference, we are honoured to have invited a number of internationally renowned experts and scholars to deliver keynote speeches, including Professor Luk Kwai-man of the City University of Hong Kong, Professor Xue Quan of the South China University of Technology, Professor Pan Jin of the China University of Electronic Science and Technology, Professor Huang Heng of the City University of Hong Kong, and Professor Wu Xianliang of the Anhui University of Technology. Their speeches covered a wide range of topics including the application of wireless communication technology in smart city construction, security issues of wireless networks, the latest wireless signal processing technology and the latest research on wireless sensor networks, providing valuable learning and exchange opportunities for the participants.
In addition, 215 papers and 34 abstracts were received. After a rigorous review by 62 experts, a total of 195 papers were accepted for presentation. These papers not only show the latest research results in the field of wireless science and technology, but also reflect the academic standard and international influence of this conference. The conference has set up a rich and diversified academic exchange programme, including 5 plenary lectures, 51 invited lectures, 165 oral presentations, and 46 poster sessions, which comprehensively covered all the research areas of the conference and provided the participants with the opportunity to learn more about the latest progress of the industry as well as providing a platform for young researchers to present their research results and communicate with their peers.
During the conference, the participating experts and scholars had two days of in-depth exchanges and discussions to jointly promote the development and innovation of wireless science and technology. The success of the conference not only provided a high-quality academic exchange platform for experts and scholars from the Cross Strait area, laying a solid foundation for future co-operation, but also brought about a positive impact on Macau's MICE tourism industry.
