FDS Successfully Holds Free Health Check-Ups Event

On January 17, 2025, the Faculty of Data Science of City University of Macau, in collaboration with the industry-academia-research partnership organization Regional Computer Co., Ltd., successfully held the "City University of Macau Faculty and Students Free Health Check-ups" event at the Taipa campus student area. The event attracted approximately 200 faculty and students, aimed at providing comprehensive health check-up services.

The innovation of this event lies in the integration of smart medical technology, utilizing advanced testing equipment and data management systems to ensure participants can quickly and accurately understand their health status. On the day of the event, faculty and students actively participated, creating a lively atmosphere. Participants were able to assess their health status in real-time by testing nine health indicators, including blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, electrocardiogram, body temperature, weight, blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol, and received preliminary health advice. Additionally, each participant received a free personal health report, providing a scientific basis for their health management. The aim is to cultivate an atmosphere of health awareness and active living on campus, enhancing the recognition of the importance of health management among faculty and students.

In the context of rapid social development, health issues are receiving increasing attention. Free health check-ups not only help faculty and students understand their health status but also promote the dissemination of health knowledge, which is significant for building a healthy and harmonious campus environment and improving the overall health level of society. This event also highlights the outstanding achievements of the Faculty of Data Science in industry-academia-research collaboration, creating a new model of data-driven health check-ups using smart medical technology, providing a foundation for health data research, and promoting scientific cooperation, especially in the fields of public health and innovative technology.
