Student Representatives from the Faculty of Data Science Invited to Attend the 2026 Shandong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Entrepreneurs Exchange Meeting

On May 20, the 2026 Shandong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Entrepreneurs Exchange Meeting was held in Hong Kong. Closely following the national strategic plan to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao, the meeting focused on youth empowerment, technological innovation synergy, and integrated development, continuously building a solid bridge for connectivity and shared development among the youth of Shandong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

At the event, the 2026 "Youth from Hong Kong and Macao View the Motherland" Qilu Tour was officially launched, along with the flagship "Tracing the Mother River, Sharing Chinese Sentiments" Yellow River Tour. This project will organize young people from Hong Kong and Macao on an immersive study tour along the Yellow River, allowing them to trace the Chinese cultural lineage and experience the development of Qilu, effectively guiding them to foster a sense of patriotism and actively engage in regional integration and national construction.

Li Zijun, a doctoral student, and Li Jisheng and Lin Yatong, undergraduate students from our university's Faculty of Data Science, were invited as Macao student representatives to attend the meeting and participate in the flag-presentation ceremony for the 2026 "Youth from Hong Kong and Macao View the Motherland" Qilu Tour. At the ceremony, the three students received the flag from Wen Nuan, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, fully demonstrating their uplifting spirit and patriotic devotion.

During the exchange meeting, the three students held in-depth discussions with Dai Xianyang, specially invited member of the Shandong Youth Federation from Macao. The two sides engaged in lively discussions on key areas such as regular exchanges among Shandong-Hong Kong-Macao youth, cross-regional technological innovation collaboration, the integration and dissemination of outstanding traditional Chinese culture, and youth employment and entrepreneurship empowerment. They jointly explored new opportunities and development paths for youth cooperation across the three regions, building youthful consensus and rallying momentum through the collision of ideas.

This participation allowed our students to experience firsthand the vitality of national development and the robust momentum of Shandong-Hong Kong-Macao integrated development, further broadening their horizons and strengthening their convictions. The students expressed that this grand event was profoundly meaningful and highly rewarding. In the future, they will always cherish their homeland, deepen their expertise in their professional fields, diligently study intelligent technology and data science, align their knowledge and skills with national development needs and regional trends, and actively devote themselves to national construction and the coordinated development of Shandong, Hong Kong, and Macao after completing their studies. They aim to empower technological innovation with their professional capabilities and contribute to national prosperity with their youthful responsibility, injecting vibrant energy into the integration and win-win future of the three regions.
