On January 20, the "City University of Macau's Annual Data Science Doctoral Conference" was grandly held at the Regency Hotel. Member of the Macau Legislative Council Zujie Wu, member of the Macau Science and Technology Committee Chung-hsien Tok, City University of Macau Associate Vice President Guiping Ye, and graduate students Vice Dean Zhiming Cai of the Institute, Dean Wencai Du of the Institute of Data Science, teachers of the data science major and all doctoral students participated in the annual meeting.
In his speech, Vice President Ye expressed his congratulations on the smooth holding of the annual meeting, expressed his appreciation for the academic and scientific research achievements of the institute, and expressed his expectations for the future scientific research and teaching development of the institute. Later, in his speech, Dean Du Wencai made a systematic and comprehensive summary of the series of work carried out by the Data Science Institute this semester, and made practical plans for the future. He hoped that all teachers and students of the Institute would work together to make progress.
At the annual meeting, participating guests, teachers and students discussed the future development trends of the institute. Taking advantage of the development opportunities of the Greater Bay Area, they strive to make breakthroughs in the field of data science research and play the "role of City University of Macau" as a link. It serves as an effective platform for the development of the University and the Greater Bay Area, laying a solid foundation for the development of doctoral programs in data science in the future.
