Introduction
1. Programme background
This programme adheres to the purpose of being based in Macau and serving the region. It designs an interdisciplinary professional direction and study plan based on the development characteristics of the modern service industry in Macau and the Greater Bay Area and the demand for talents in the modern service industry. This course emphasizes cultivating students with the natural science knowledge, humanities knowledge and foreign language skills necessary to engage in work related to the intelligent service industry, as well as the proficiency in the use of information technology, big data, artificial intelligence and other skills, as well as the business and economics necessary for the modern service industry. Learn basic knowledge and apply the theories, methods and skills learned to solve practical problems in the modern service industry. To cultivate high-quality research, development and management talents suitable for the development of modern service industries in Macau and the Greater Bay Area.
2. Cultivation Objectives
The course arrangement is cutting-edge and international. The programme focuses on cultivating the comprehensive development of knowledge, skills and innovation of modern service industry talents, and focuses on the integration of professional skills, service literacy and humanistic qualities. Teachers are composed of teachers from well-known universities nationally and abroad. Ninety percent of the teachers teaching professional courses in this programme have doctoral degrees.
Graduates of this programme can work in smart tourism, smart finance, smart government, smart communities, smart healthcare, Intelligent sales, smart transportation, smart education and other related positions in many fields of the modern service industry. Students can also continue to enroll in master's degree programs in information technology, data science, international tourism, financial technology, modern management, etc.

Students must choose three elective courses from the five areas of general education: Intercultural Communication, Science and Technology Prospect, International Understanding, Artistic Cultivation, and Humanities Reflection. They can only choose one from the same area; and three elective courses from other faculties designated by the university that awarded 9 credits (excluding homework projects/graduation projects and practice-based programme) to cultivate students' interdisciplinary vision and self-created learning and independent learning abilities. Elective courses may be adjusted according to programmes and social development.

- 1. To complete this programme, students must complete the 6 compulsory general education courses listed in Table 1, totaling 18 credits; the 18 Intellignet technology compulsory courses listed in Table 2, totaling 54 credits; and the 8 service management compulsory courses listed in Table 3 totaling of 24 credits; 15 credits of graduation internship and final year project listed in Table 4; 12 credits of 4 Major elective courses listed in Table 5; and 3 general education elective courses and 3 interdisciplinary education elective courses The courses (three courses from other faculties designated by the university) total 18 credits; a total of 43 courses (141 credits).
- 2. 3 general education elective courses and 3 interdisciplinary elective courses total 18 credits, which can be taken among four academic years. A maximum of 9 credits can be taken in each academic year, but students must make their own choices based on the arrangement of compulsory courses in each academic year.
- 3. If the number of students taking an elective course is less than 20, the course could not be offered, and students will need to change to other courses.
- 4. Graduation internship and final year project are full year based.
- 5. Students cannot repeat courses they have already completed (with Passing grade).
