Professor Zhiming Cai from the Institute of Data Science attended the '2019 South China Sea Security Global Conference'



On November 20, the 2019 Nanhai Security Global Conference with the theme of "Focusing on Security Technology Innovation and Leading the Development of the Artificial Intelligence Industry" was grandly opened at the Nanhai Regal Hotel in Foshan. 

 

Kon Thappharangsi former vice prime minister of Thailand and president of the Thailand-China Friendship Association; Jincai Yang, honorary academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Humanities in France, president of the Shenzhen Security Industry Association, and chairman of the Shenzhen Smart City Industry Association, delivered speeches respectively. Daxiang Liu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Denis Andreevich, vice chairman of the Russian Security Association, Professor Zhiming Cai of our Institute, Huijuan Bi, senior vice president of Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd., leader of the strategic expert group of the China Security Association, Youliang Gu, President of the Guangzhou Security Industry Association, Fei Huang, Chief Strategic Operations Officer of the Early Warning Center of the National Meteorological Administration, Athanasios Vracakis, former Greek police brigadier general and EOD expert, Wisdom of the China Urban Science Association Meijuan Wang, an expert from the Urban Joint Laboratory, and other Chinese and foreign guests delivered keynote speeches. 

 

Guests attending the conference include: Xiaoshun Qu, President of the Shenzhen Security Association, RuofeiQin, President of the Bangladesh Chapter of the World Drone Federation, President Houyuan Lin of the Philippine Chapter, Kumar Shrestha, President of the Nepal Chapter, Malaysian UAV Naymuddin bin Mohd Ibrahim, Vice President of the Development Association, Guozhu Li, President of the Hong Kong Branch of the Asia Pacific Security Association, as well as representatives from public security and smart city industry associations, and Guangdong, Fujian, Beijing, Hubei more than 200 people in charge of enterprises in, Shandong, Hebei and other provinces and cities jointly discussed the innovative development and prospects of urban safety, smart travel, smart security, and smart cities.
