BroadWare Education Fund Scholarship Establishment and Awarding Ceremony

At 4:00 pm on June 16, 2020, the establishment and awarding ceremony of City University of Macau BraodWare Education Fund Scholarship was grandly held in the T320 International Conference Room, Dafeng Building, City University of Macau.

University leaders attending the ceremony included City University of Macau President Zhang Shuguang, Dean of Academic Affairs and Executive Vice Dean of the Graduate School Professor Cai Zhiming, and Professor Du Wencai, Dean of the Institute of Data Science. Guests attending this event included Nick Ng, director of the business consulting department of Macau BroadWare Information Systems Co., Ltd., and Lei Sok Han, director of the product and marketing department of Macau BroadWare Information Systems Co., Ltd.

At the beginning of the conference, Rector Zhang gave a speech, introducing the background of the establishment of the Data Science Institute and the achievements in talent training, scientific research and giving back to society since its establishment. He also expressed his appreciation for the scholarships and internships signed between BroadWare Information Systems Co., Ltd. and the Data Science Institute of our school. He affirmed and thanked the students for the cooperation agreement on the student program, and stated that they will steadily promote teaching, educating people and serving the society from a new starting point.

Subsequently, Nick Ng, a representative of the scholarship funding agency and director of Macau BroadWare Information Systems Co., Ltd., gave a warm speech at the ceremony, talking about the original intention of establishing the BroadWare Education Fund Scholarship, the desire to support the development of Macau's multi-industry and the feeling of giving back to the society, and Express appreciation for the outstanding talents cultivated by the Data Science Institute.

Ma Han, a representative of outstanding interns, and Li Tongfei, a representative of scholarship recipients, made speeches, respectively reviewing their own growth through interning at BroadWare and describing the growth process of studying at the Data Science Institute. They also expressed their support for the scholarship funding agencies and the leadership of the institute. I express my sincere gratitude to the teacher for his help.

Finally, Rector Zhang, Director Ng, and Director Lei presented awards to the scholarship winners and took photos with the students present.
