On November 18, 2020, the main track Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan finals of the 6th China International "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Guangzhou. Du Wencai, Distinguished Chair Professor of Data Science at our university Wang Han, a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Data Science, City University of Macau, Lin Chen, a doctoral student in ophthalmology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Yang Jie, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Macau, and Shi Junyi, a doctoral student in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong." Participate in the form of "teachers and students co-create". Under the guidance of Professor Du Wencai, doctoral candidate Wang Han led the team to participate in the competition. In the end, the project "Eye-loving Smart Doctor - Leader of Ultra-wide-angle Fundus AI Diagnosis System" ranked third in the competition and won the silver medal in one fell swoop. 

 

A total of 6.31 million people from 117 countries and regions and 4,186 schools registered for the 6th China International "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with 1.47 million projects. 

 

Our university's participating project team has successfully incubated and landed at Zhuhai Institute of Advanced Technology, and the incubated company Zhongke Medical Vision Cloud Medical (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd.
