On the afternoon of September 8th, the Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Technology Forum with the theme of "Gathering in the Bay Area, Discussing the Future" was held in Zhuhai. Technology leaders, entrepreneurs, and researchers from various industries in the Greater Bay Area gathered together to focus on the development of digitalization in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, explore innovation and cross-border cooperation in artificial intelligence technology, and embark on a "high-quality development of the Bay Area". At this forum, Assistant Professor Weng Tak Kuok, Programme Coordinator of the Faculty of Data Science and Director of the Joint Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence at the City University of Macau, attended and shared his research topic.

During the roundtable forum, Assistant Professor Weng Tak Kuok had a high-end conversation with Yan Cui, Lin Yang, Dawei Wang, Li Peng, discussing hot topics such as the industrial application of AI, the revolutionary changes AI brings to various industries, and future development trends.
Assistant Professor Weng Tak Kuok pointed out in his sharing on "The Development of AI Empowered Remote Sensing Applications" that AI empowered remote sensing applications not only improve data processing speed and accuracy, but also create more new application areas, providing more possibilities for environmental protection, resource management, agriculture, urban planning, and meteorological forecasting.
Currently, Macau is adopting a moderately diversified development strategy of "1+4", in which high-tech is an important part. Professor Weng Tak Kuok believes that the focus of cooperation in Zhuhai Macau AI industry is to use AI technology to enable urban management, typhoon impact prediction, tourism exhibition, emission reduction and carbon reduction, etc., to help build a smart city.
The forum guests generally agree that artificial intelligence will be the key to future development and will have a profound impact on many fields such as healthcare, education, and manufacturing. The Greater Bay Area will make more breakthroughs and achievements in the field of artificial intelligence, leading the development of the AI industry in China and even globally.
