In order to commend full-time academic staff who have performed outstandingly in the field of scientific research, the City University of Macau has established the Scientific Research Excellence Award in accordance with the principle of ‘both quantity and quality, and international standards’ to encourage academic staff to continue to explore in their professional fields and promote innovative development in scientific research.
The 2023/2024 Academic Year Scientific Research Excellence Award Ceremony was successfully held a few days ago. Tianqing Zhu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Data Science, was named the winner of the Scientific Research Excellence Award for this academic year.

Acceptance speech
I am very grateful to the faculty for recognizing the Faculty of Data Science team. The main reason I won this award is that we have a dynamic and enterprising team. All my honors come from my team. We will continue to work hard, not only to achieve results in our own field, but also to collaborate with other schools and teams outside the Faculty of Data Science to achieve more results.
Future research prospects
We entered the field of AI security in 2018 and have witnessed the rapid development of AI as well as various challenges in AI security. Our mission is to face these challenges and work hard to provide everyone with safer, more transparent and more reliable AI models.
Message to young researchers
Young scientific researchers are the main force of our school and even our country's scientific research team. Most of the members of our team are young workers. We hope that you can keep your original aspirations, live up to your youth, challenge yourself step by step in the field of scientific research, and climb to your own scientific peak.
