The City University of Macau achieved a double triumph at the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area IT Application System Development Competition.”The “Wisdom Heart Imaging— Coronary Angiography Intelligent Recognition and Diagnosis System” project won the Excellence Award, while the “Macao Livable Mlife” project received the Finalist Award.Both teams expressed that the award represents not only an honor but also recognition of their technical approach. They extend their gratitude to the competition organizing committee, the university for its support, the advisory team for their guidance, and the collaborating institutions for their cooperation.
The “Wisdom Heart Imaging” system developed by the team comprising Xingyuan Tian, Dongxiao Li,Weiyi Lv, and Baixi Li won the Excellence Award for its technological innovation and clinical value.The team extends its gratitude to the competition organizing committee, the support of City University of Macau, the dedicated guidance of the advisory team, and the valuable data and clinical support provided by all collaborating hospitals.They further emphasized that this award holds great significance: on one hand, it greatly boosts the team's confidence, validating the correctness and value of their technical approach; on the other hand, the competition's authority provides strong credibility endorsement for the project, which is crucial for subsequent engagement with medical institutions and advancing commercialization.Over the next three years, the team plans to expand its services to over 200 hospitals, aiming to capture 25% of the cardiovascular AI market share. Concurrently, the team is collaborating with Fuwai Hospital and Guangdong Provincial Second Provincial General Hospital to actively pursue Class III medical device registration certificates.
When discussing their motivation for entering the competition, the team emphasized that their drive stems from a strong sense of social responsibility. Data indicates that cardiovascular disease is the world's leading health threat, with China currently having 290 million patients and accounting for 33% of global deaths related to this condition. Faced with this severe challenge, the team aims to leverage AI technology to provide efficient solutions for the precise diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.
“Macao Livable Mlife” Rental Living Service Platform, developed by a team comprising Yuxuan Ma, Jihao Li,Junhong Qu, and Bowen Li , was honored with a Finalist Award at the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area IT Application System Development Competition.”The project originated from the team's observation of common challenges in Macau's rental market. Addressing issues like “difficulty finding housing, confusing information, and unreliable agents,” it builds a multifaceted lifestyle service platform. Property listings undergo manual verification with traceable records, while the “One-Click Roommate Matching” feature intelligently pairs roommates. It integrates campus meal ordering services and incorporates a Cantonese Pinyin input method to align with local usage habits.The project has secured incubation support from the City University of Macau and partnered with multiple local agencies. During its trial phase, it has successfully facilitated user property searches and contract signings. The team stated that the award validates the feasibility of “enhancing the rental experience through technology,” bolstering confidence in negotiations with partners while laying the groundwork for commercialization and regional replication.
