The 20th International Conference on Internet-Based Learning (ICWL 2021) was held at City University of Macau



     

The 20th International Symposium on Online Learning, organized and hosted by City University of Macau, was recently held at the Taipa campus in a combination of online and offline methods. This conference was held in Macau for the first time. Professor Wanlei Zhou, Vice President of City University of Macau and Dean of the Faculty of Data Science, and Professor Yi Mu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Data Science, co-chaired the meeting. The conference welcomed representatives from many domestic and foreign universities including Peking University, University of Technology Sydney, Australia, Swinburne University of Technology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and UIC. Representatives from well-known universities attended, attracting nearly a hundred teachers and students to participate online and offline. 

 

This conference centered on the theme of "Latest Technology Progress and Research Based on Online Learning". The participating scholars reported on technical papers approved by the International Program Committee, and famous experts and scholars gave special reports. The conference will have a collection of papers, which will be published by the internationally renowned academic publishing house Springer. During the paper review session of this conference, under the guidance of Professor Zhiming Cai from the Faculty of Data Science, City University of Macau, the papers of three students, Wennan Wang, Linkai Zhu and Baoping Wang, won the Best Student Paper Award sponsored by Springer Publishing House. 

 

The International Conference on Online Learning (ICWL) was founded by the Hong Kong Network Association in 2002. It brings together famous teachers, scholars, technical experts and practitioners from all over the world to discuss the latest developments in the field of online learning, build a platform for exchanges and interactions, and promote network-based learning. An in-depth study of issues in technology, teaching and management of learning. The conference has been successfully held in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, Estonia, Italy, South Africa, Thailand, Germany and other countries and regions.
