City University of Macau International Training and Testing Centre organised activities for international students of the Faculty of Data Science at CityU



On 13 November 2024, the International Training and Testing Centre (ITTC) of  organized a networking event ‘Getting to Know City University of Macau, Getting to Know You’ for four international students of the Faculty  of Data Science of  from Griffith University, Australia. Mr. Michael Hui of Dynamic Sky was invited to be the instructor of the event in order to enrich their learning experience at City University of Macau through different activities. Through different activities, we aimed to enhance their connection with City University of Macau and enrich their learning experience at City University of Macau. 

  

At the beginning of the programme, the instructor encouraged everyone to communicate and get to know each other through clapping and question and answer session. 

  

The dynamic ‘Jumping Forward and Backward’ activity further tested their reaction time and teamwork skills, and prepared their bodies and minds for the challenges ahead in an atmosphere filled with laughter. 

  

Next, the instructor asked the students to construct a spaghetti tower in small groups to guide them to explore the theme of ‘Creativity, Communication and Change’. 

  

Finally, the instructor encouraged the students to tell us about the unique elements and characteristics of City University of Macau, and to combine them with artificial intelligence technology to create a song that belongs to all of us and City University of Macau. 

  

The four students from Griffith University, Australia, said that this event gave them the opportunity to meet new friends from different faculties of City University of Macau and strengthened their mutual understanding and communication. The four students from Griffith University said that this event gave them a unique experience that they had never participated in before. It not only enabled them to understand how to communicate and collaborate with people from different cultural backgrounds and perspectives, but also helped them to integrate into the City University of Macau and Australia family more easily.
