On the afternoon of December 8th, the "Double Number" Summit Network and Information Security Forum was held in Guangzhou. At the forum, Wanlei Zhou, Vice President (Academic Affairs) and Dean of the Faculty of Data Science at City University of Macau, gave a keynote speech, providing excellent solutions for network security through case analysis of network security. He suggested in an interview that the Zhongshan government should make a comprehensive plan for the data. Regular audits are even more necessary to provide security for Zhongshan's data.
Wanlei Zhou pointed out that cybersecurity will become a persistent issue, and the threats faced by cybersecurity are real, significant, and rapidly growing. Governments often cannot predict future threats, including the development of future technologies or program vulnerabilities, thus requiring more cybersecurity research and the development of new knowledge that can be used to enhance defense against future cyber-attacks.
Wanlei Zhou provided suggestions for the construction of Zhongshan Digital Government at the forum. He candidly stated, "The government needs to make a comprehensive plan for data and place it in a secure place. Build a solid foundation and develop its own applications to provide a mechanism for data protection.
Cybersecurity research includes both technical and non-technical research. While technical experts play a core role, they also need to work together with management experts, psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, and manufacturing experts to better build a secure and trustworthy new ecosystem for digital government, "said Wanlei Zhou.
As a part of supporting the network, data security directly affects network security. Wanlei Zhou believes that data is diverse, but hierarchical management is also necessary for data protection. It is important to classify which data needs to be made public and which data needs to be kept confidential. At the same time, using physically isolated storage devices to keep important data confidential and prevent data leakage from the source is an important part of solving network security.
In the entire space of network operation, data threats not only come from external sources, but also from internal threats. Wanlei Zhou believes that the government should conduct regular audits of internal data to provide security for data. At the same time, implement data security education in place, so that everyone can learn self-protection, not easily disclose personal information, improve discernment ability, enhance security awareness, and jointly safeguard network security.
