1. Disciplines and majors for enrollment in 2024 

 

Admissions Major: Computer Science 

 

The training goal of this course is to cooperate with the development plan of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the national digital economy development strategic plan. The course will cultivate students to have a more profound and broad global worldview, have the ability to communicate and cooperate across cultures, and collaboratively solve complex problems and challenges faced by mankind, and have the potential to become excellent computer talents; to become thinkers and doers, with lifelong learning and passion for innovation, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively. It also cultivates professionals who are patriotic and Macao-loving in the fields of data science, artificial intelligence and information security, and who combine theory with practice, analysis and application that are needed for the development of the country and Macau. 

 

The teaching language is bilingual "Chinese and English". 

 

2. Future employment and application prospects 

 

Graduates of this course can work in many fields of computer science as software engineers/developers, data analysts, network engineers, artificial intelligence engineers, information security experts and other related positions. You can also continue to enroll in master's degree programmes in computer science, information technology, data science, financial technology, management, etc. 

 

3. Learning methods and years of study 

 

1. The study mode is full-time. 

 

2. The basic study period for a bachelor’s degree is 4 years, and the maximum extended study period is 7 years. 

 

4. Tuition fees, application qualifications, application procedures, application fees, preliminary review and review, admission, enrollment, graduation and degree awarding 

 

Mainland students 

 

1. Those whose college entrance examination scores reach the second level/segment level (the combined second- and third-level undergraduate level) or above will be admitted on a merit-based basis. 

 

2. Mainland high school graduates from mainland schools (students in international courses) or schools outside the mainland with international course results (not college entrance examination scores) can apply through the results of public examinations (such as GCE, SAT, IB, etc.). 

 

3. University recruitment and admission adopt independent enrollment and independent merit-based admission methods and are not included in the mainland admissions plan. There is no need to submit a personal record (Dangan) for application and acceptance by the University, and this will not affect the candidates' eligibility for admission to Mainland universities. If a candidate is admitted by both the University and a Mainland university, he/she can decide whether to study the programme in Macau or in the mainland at that time.
