On the morning of August 27th, Professor Lu Hui, the homeroom teacher of the Binxing Fang class at Guangzhou University, led the students of the Binxing Fang class to visit the City University of Macau and was warmly received by the faculty of Data Science at the City University of Macau. This academic event provides an opportunity for postgraduate students from Guangdong and Macau to have face-to-face exchanges and share their learning experiences. Programme Coordinator of postgraduate Programme and Associate Professor Zuobin Ying, Assistant Professor Xia Feng, Assistant Professor Gengshen Wu, and Assistant Professor Chun Wang, attended this academic event together.
Firstly, Assocaite professor Ying delivered a speech for this event, sharing his experience in academic research and teaching, and delving into the challenges and importance of academic research. Meanwhile, Ying emphasized the core values of this event and pointed out the direction that graduate students should take on their academic journey. He also specifically reminded students to make full use of such opportunities for communication and encouraged them to continue investing and striving in academic research.
Assistant Professor Chun Wang emphasized the importance of practical applications in data science and presented some practical application cases. Assistant Professors Gengshen Wu and Xia Feng shared their research projects and achievements respectively and provided detailed answers to questions from students in the Binxing class.
The students from Guangzhou University are also very enthusiastic. Three student representatives shared their research projects and experiences in the areas of 'Automated Penetration Testing System', 'Key Technologies for Indoor Space Location Services', and 'Communication Strategy Generation and Communication Effect Measurement Evaluation Technology for Maximizing Influence'.
Next, Professor Hui Lu talked about the development process of the Binxing Fang class at Guangzhou University and its latest research achievements in the field of data science. He encouraged students to take advantage of this opportunity to engage in in-depth academic discussions with teachers and students from the City University of Macau and jointly promote the academic development of both universities.
At the end of the event, Director Ying praised the academic achievements and enthusiasm of the Binxing Fang class at Guangzhou University, and expressed his hope to deepen academic exchanges between Guangdong and Macau through this event.
