Professor Yi Mu received his PhD from the Australian National University in 1994. He has worked at various universities in Australia. He was a professor at the University of Wollongong, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and Director of the Centre for Computer and Information Security.
His research contributions include cryptography, network security, data security and privacy, quantum information science and other fields. Professor Mu has served as editor or editor-in-chief of a number of internationally renowned journals, and as a member or chair of the program committee of many internationally renowned conferences such as ACM CCS, ESORICS, and ACM AsiaCCS. Professor Mu's research has been funded by the Australian Research Council, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and industry foundations. He has published over 500 research papers in international journals and at international conferences (including the three top cryptography conferences), as well as two monographs and 13 edited volumes. His research has been highly cited.
