"Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 Macau Station" is jointly organized by Huawei Macau Branch, Macau Science and Technology Association and Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, with training in November 2024, Macau regional finals on December 2, and March 2025. The annual ICT event includes the Asia-Pacific regional competition in May and the global finals in May. With the theme of "Connection, Glory, Future" and the slogan "I. C. The Future", the competition aims to create an international competition and exchange platform for college students around the world and improve students' ICT knowledge and practical abilities. The competition is divided into three stages: national competition, regional competition and global competition. The Macau regional competition includes two tracks: cloud track and computing track, involving written examination and experimental part. 

 

In order to let everyone better understand and participate in this competition, Huawei and the Faculty of Data Science of City University of Macau held a special roadshow event in the student garden T1 floor on October 22, 2024. Huawei Macau Branch Brand Manager Min Xu and Human Resources Department Bowie, as well as Associate Professor Wenjian Liu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Data Science, City University of Macau, Associate Professor Chia-wei Chu, Programme Coordinator, and Assistant Professor Weng Tak Kuok attended the roadshow. Min Xu introduced the company, industry development, and competition details. Huawei engineers introduced the learning algorithms and computing power that can be used in the competition. The response was enthusiastic, with students actively asking questions and actively participating. A total of more than 80 students signed up for the competition in one day.
