Dr. Weiping Ding , Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Senior Member of IEEE, Senior Member of CCF, Associate Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, Nantong University, Researcher at the University of Technology Sydney, PhD Supervisor at City University of Macau, High-level Talent of Jiangsu Province's “Six Talent Peaks”, Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader of Jiangsu Province's “Blue and Green Project”, Main research interests are artificial intelligence and computational intelligence, intelligent analysis of medical images, and multimodal machine learning. “Youth Blue Project” young and middle-aged academic leaders in Jiangsu Province. His main research directions are artificial intelligence and computational intelligence, intelligent analysis of medical images, multi-modal machine learning and optimization, deep neural networks, brain cognition research, granular computing and its application in uncertain big data, etc. Currently serves as the founding chair of the IEEE-CIS Task Force on Granular Data Mining for Big Data, a member of the IEEE-CIS Data Mining and Big Data Analytics Committee, a member of the IEEE-SMC Granular Computing Committee, a member of the IEEE-SMC Soft Computing Committee, a member of the CCF Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Committee , CAAI Particle Computing and Knowledge Discovery Committee, CAAI Intelligent Service Committee Member, in recent years, he has successively visited National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, the University of Lethbridge in Canada, the National University of Singapore in Singapore, and the University of Technology Sydney in Australia for postdoctoral research, academic visits, and scientific research collaborations. 

In recent years he has presided over/completed more than 20 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and the Natural Science Research Program of Jiangsu Province Universities. He has published more than 200 high-level papers in international journals and conferences such as IEEE TFS, IEEE TNNLS, I IEEE TCYB, IEEE TITS, IEEE TBME, IEEE TEVC, IEEE TETCI, IEEE TCDS and other international journals and conferences, publishing more than 200 high-level papers, 16 of which were selected as “ESI highly cited papers”. Authorized 27 Chinese invention patents, 1 US invention patent, and 1 Australian invention patent. Related achievements include first prize in the Jiangsu Province Higher Education Scientific and Technological Research Achievement Award, third prize in the Jiangsu Province Education Teaching and Research Achievement Award, second prize in the Jiangsu Medical Science and Technology Award, and third prize in the Jiangsu Province Higher Education Scientific Research Achievement Award. 

In recent years he has served as an associate editor, editorial board member, or editorial board member of a number of internationally renowned journals, including IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, Information Fusion, Information Sciences, Applied Soft Computing, Neurocomputingen Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, etc., and served as the co-founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Systems and Artificial Intelligence Advances.
